Curdlan dissolved in aqueous sodium hydroxide was dialyzed to aqueous calcium chloride to form a gel. Transparent and turbid concentric layers observed in the gel cross section perpendicular to the long axis of the dialysis tube were identified as liquid crystalline gels with refractive index gradient and amorphous gels, respectively. The thickness of each layer was proportional to the diameter of the dialysis tube, and the gelation proceeded in proportion to the root of time. The unique pattern formation was attributed to the change of curdlan conformation and calcium-induced cross-linking resulting from a diffusion of calcium cations and hydroxide anions through the dialysis tube. It is suggested that the orderedness of the curdlan molecules decreases by the increase of the curvature of the concentric liquid crystal layers as the layer comes toward the center of the dialysis tube.  相似文献

In the current studies, we used the Kakisawa-Kashman modification of the Mosher NMR method to determine the complete absolute stereochemistry of arisugacins. We also report the convergent total synthesis of (+)-arisugacins A and B by a sequence including (i) ruthenium complex-catalyzed asymmetric reduction of the cyclohexenone derivative; (ii) stereoselective construction of the arisugacin skeleton by a Knoevenagel-type reaction of an α,β-unsaturated aldehyde derivative with production of a 4-hydroxy-2-pyrone derivative as a key reaction; and (iii) stereoselective dihydroxylation to give the diol derivative, followed by deoxygenation. Accordingly, we defined the absolute structures of arisugacins A and B as 4a-(R),6a-(R),12a-(R), and 12b-(S). Finally, we characterized the bioactivities of the synthetic intermediates to understand the structure-activity relationships of the arisugacins.  相似文献

The millimeter- and submillimeter-wave spectra of the NiBr radical in the X (2)Pi(3/2) and A (2)Delta(5/2) states were observed by a source-modulated microwave spectrometer. The NiBr radical was generated in a dc glow discharge through the mixture of Br(2) vapor and Ar gas by the sputtering reaction with a Ni cathode. Observed transition frequencies were independently analyzed for both electronic states using a standard polynomial expression of a Hund's case (c) approximation. Anomalous behavior of the effective molecular constants in the X (2)Pi(3/2) state was interpreted as the result of the perturbation between the X (2)Pi(3/2) and A (2)Delta(5/2) states. The deperturbed molecular constants were derived using a simplified supermultiplet Hamiltonian including the interaction terms between the two electronic states.  相似文献

We have developed a new method that enables agar microstructures to be used to cultivate cells and that allows cell network patterns to be controlled. The method makes use of non-contact three-dimensional photo-thermal etching with a 1480 nm infrared focused laser beam, which is strongly absorbed by water and agar gel, to form the shapes of agar microstructures. It allows microstructures to be easily formed in an agar layer within a few minutes, with cell-culture holes formed by the spot heating of a 100 mW laser and tunnels by the tracing of a 100 microm s(-1), 40 mW laser. We cultivated rat cardiac myocytes in adjacent microstructures and observed synchronized beating in them 90 min after they had made physical contact. Our results indicate that the system can make and use microstructures for cell-network cultivation in a minimal amount of time without any expensive microfabrication facilities or complicated procedures.  相似文献

New vinylsilanes (M2), i. e. phenylvinylsilane (I), allylmethylsilane (II), allylphenylsilane (III), and p-vinylphenylmethylsilane (IV), were prepared and copolymerized with styrene (M1). The monomer reactivity ratios were r1 = 5.7 and r2 = 0, r1 = 36 and r2 = 0, r1 = 29 and r2 = 01, and r1 = 0.91 and r2 = 1.1, respectively. From the results of infrared and NMR spectra it was indicated that the vinylsilanes participated in copolymerization in the form of a vinyl type of polymerization and not in the form of a hydrogen-transfer type of polymerization. The reaction of copolymer with alcohols and methyl methacrylate and appropriate catalysts was investigated.  相似文献

Spin preference and S-T gaps of localized 1,3-diradicals were studied by an orbital phase theory and theoretical calculations. The orbital phase theory was applied to rationalize thermodynamic and kinetic stabilities of diradicals. We theoretically designed some singlet localized 1,3-diradicals, substituted trimethylenes, which are more stable than the lowest triplets. Some diradicals with the four-membered rings, 2,4-disilacyclobutane-1,3-diyls, were designed and shown to have singlet ground states and to be more stable than the sigma-bonded isomers, 2,4-disilabicyclo[1.1.0]butanes. The ab initio calculations supported predictions of the stable carbon-centered localized singlet 1,3-diradicals.  相似文献

We have studied the release curve for microcapsules with size distribution. On the basis of an analogy to the relaxation phenomena with multiple characteristic times, we propose a stretched exponential release curve for the system with size distribution and relate the release curve to the size distribution function of the microcapsule. This method was successfully applied to the transfer of azo-pigments from inner medium of dioctyl phthalate to dispersing medium of methanol through poly(ureaurethane) microcapsule membrane.  相似文献

An in-house developed automated synthesis suite was used to prepare a library of 72 tetrapeptide derivatives, the starting materials for pharmaceutically attractive pentapeptides, employing a convergent strategy. An initial set of 18 dipeptides were synthesized on a large-scale (100-1000 g) using automated synthesis workstations, and then 72 tetrapeptides were synthesized on a medium scale (5-10 g) using an automated system. Each di- or tetrapeptide was prepared in a single operating cycle using a modified methanesulfonic acid method, then a sub-library of 56 pentapeptides were synthesized in parallel, on a small-scale (100 mg-1 g) using a robotic workstation.  相似文献
